Hello! I'm a bot created by another Wikipedia editor. I wanted to let you know that I removed a link that you recently added to the page Peter Greenaway here. I did this because http://www.facebook.com/pages/Peter-Greenaway/142131822553563 is probably inappropriate for an encyclopedia.

We appreciate your help in making Wikipedia better for everyone. If I made a mistake, feel free to undo my edit. If you have any questions, you can ask at the Help desk.

Thank you! --XLinkBot (talk) 16:15, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome! I'm a bot created by another Wikipedia editor. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more of the external links you added to the page Castle Amerongen, because they did not seem to meet our definition of appropriate links. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before adding it again.
I did this because http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PgUwr3pPjU is probably inappropriate for an encyclopedia. We generally try to avoid linking to external audio or video.

We appreciate your help in making Wikipedia better for everyone. If I made a mistake, feel free to undo my edit. If you have any questions, you can ask at the Help desk.

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because the username, Peter Greenaway, matches the name of a well-known, living person.

If you are the person represented by this username, please note that the practice of blocking such usernames is to protect you from being impersonated, not to discourage you from editing Wikipedia. You are welcome to continue to edit under this username, but we ask the following:

  1. Please be willing and able to prove your identity to Wikipedia.
  2. Please send an e-mail to info-en@wikimedia.org. Be aware that the volunteer response team that handles e-mail is indeed operated entirely by volunteers, and the reply may not be immediate.

If you are not the person represented by this username, you are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Salvio Let's talk about it! 15:10, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Undeclared conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Peter Greenaway. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. --Yamla (talk) 22:43, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Yalma, If I can not update Saskia Boddeke's wikipedia page, who will do this ?
This is page has not the updated information and should be corrected. Peter Greenaway (talk) 22:47, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
We expect neutral editors to make the changes, editors who do not have a conflict of interest. You'd have been welcome to suggest changes on the article's talk page if you had disclosed your conflict of interest. As you have refused to disclose, I have blocked you indefinitely. WP:GAB explains how to contest your block. --Yamla (talk) 09:48, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Yamla, that is quite harsh, not sure what I have done wrong to be blocked indefinitely. Who is going to update the page which is completely out of date. I did not write a review, I added information about her work.
The same count form my page , also completely out of date and an enormous amount of nonsens of People thinking to know my work. Can you please unblock me and stop policing me in an unjust way. It make your content weaker.
Best Peter Greenaway Peter Greenaway (talk) 19:50, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You don't seem to understand WP:COI. Once you do, you can contest your block by following the instructions in WP:GAB. --Yamla (talk) 20:18, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
